MANTRA MEANING

In the beginning, Lord Shiva and his consort, the Goddess, were one in cosmic embrace. After separation from the Lord, the Goddess creates the universe and beings that can dwell in it. On earth, humans have the capacity to eventually understand and manifest their essentially divine nature. This mantra is chanted to invoke the feeling of the return to the Lord.

These recordings were part of a series of essentially live sacred offerings. They were made to teach mantra and to facilitate the internalization of the senses (Pratihara) for meditation. This series of sounds is part of a remarkable archive which began in the 1960s.

The purpose of mantra is to expand the mind to discover higher minds. Each of the seven chakras has a mind of its own:
1. Physical body 2. Gender 3. Occupation 4. Love 5. Creativity 6. Intuition 7. Finally, through reflection and meditation, the realization of the SELF -- who we truly are.
